Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) is a coal producer based in India. It operates coal mines in Jharkhand and West Bengal. India. It is one of the fully owned subsidiaries of Coal India Limited.

Wavesight is proud to be involved with the supply, installation , integration, testing and commissioning of a wireless network solution for a centralized CCTV Surveillance System deployed across multiple locations of ECL. The scope included connectivity to all cameras through a MPLS-VPN located at ECL HQ. Cameras were connected to NVRs at the mines with the help of CAT 6 cables, OFC & IP Radios and to centralized servers located at the Area Office as well as ECL HQ.

Eastern Coalfields Limited awarded this project to Baxy Limited. The system architecture involved Point-to-Point and Point-to-Multi-Point Connectivity. A total of 158 Industrial grade Scorpion’s capable of delivering up to 750 Mbps of data over 5 Kms were deployed.
