Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) is a major coal-producing company in India and one of the eight subsidiaries of Coal India Limited. MCL operates coal mines across Odisha with a total of seven open-cast mines and three underground mines in the State.

Wavesight is proud to be involved with supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and support of the seamless functioning on automatic RFID based boom barrier system installed at entry/exit points of mines across multiple locations of MCL. Dual connectivity needed to be established from the server room to the boom barrier cabin, using the radio network and an internet leased Line for redundancy of connectivity.

Mahanadi Coalfields Limited awarded this project to QODENEXT INDIA PVT. LTD. The RF network has been installed at multiple locations in Odisha using Point-to-Point Connectivity and Point-to-Multi-Point radios. The wireless radios from Wavesight included 96 Firefly Model AC500 SA with external antennas.
